During 2023 I was working on an 8 metre illustration for the wall of the children's section in Dungarvan library, Co. Waterford. It was a huge honour as this is my wonderful local library. The idea was to create something that would add to the feeling of the space being good place to be, and to give a sense of the fantastical worlds you can access through reading. It's also inspired by Dungarvan and it is a sort of imaginary version of it, if it had a midnight midsummer lantern festival and was populated by dragons and other strange beasts as well as humans. Once completed, the illustration was printed and installed by Optima Signs.
